Ayurvedic Seasonal Cleanse
“I got so much more from this experience than I expected. The recipes are simple yet bursting with flavour and very satisfying. Bex provides just the right amount of information without it feeling overwhelming. The spices mixes are perfect for the season and the recipes are firm favourites long after completing the cleanse!”

What to expect
Our cleanse focuses on light, comforting, and easily digestible meals, alongside simple self-care practices to restore balance to your body and mind. You’ll limit snacks and eat three mindful wholefood meals a day.
Day 1: Preparation
Ease into the cleanse by preparing your mind and setting up your store cupboard.
Days 2-3: Transition
Gradually reduce processed food, caffeine, sugar, wheat, and animal products (except optional ghee) and begin a plant-based diet to prepare for the main cleanse.
Days 4-6: Main Cleanse
You'll primarily enjoy kitchari — a healing and complete meal consisting of rice, mung dal, and spices. Mung beans are gentle on digestion and have a scrubbing effect, stimulating the release of toxins from the blood and tissues. This ancient recipe has been used for thousands of years to assist in rejuvenation. Many participants love this aspect of the cleanse as it simplifies meal choices, allowing more time for rest and rejuvenation. Alongside our diet we will engage in self-care practices to support detoxification and balance.
Day 7: Transition Back
Slowly reintroduce other foods - a great time to notice any digestive symptoms that arise from specific foods to better understand your body's responses.

FAQs
-
The cleanse content will be available through an online portal. You will receive details on how to access the portal after you register. If you have chosen the guided package you will also receive email content throughout the cleanse.
-
The cleanse recipes are all vegan but I do recommend cooking with a good-quality ghee - it has a high smoke point making it more stable to cook with than most oils. Ayurveda believes ghee to be deeply nourishing. It has all the micronutrients of butter but without the lactose and casein. Many people who struggle with dairy find that they can tolerate ghee in small quantities. Healthy fats are vital in the body for many important functions and ghee will aid the absorption of nutrients from your meals during the cleanse.
-
All of the recipes are naturally gluten free with the exception of one meal which includes barley, but this can be swapped out for brown rice.

Everybody is different and responds differently. You may experience headaches, nausea, and ups and downs in energy and mood during the first few days. We sit with the discomfort until it shifts - which it usually does after a few days! And the benefits are well worth it.
-
It is possible to work, but I do recommend that you do your best to clear your schedule as the cleansing process naturally can lead to a temporary period of fatigue and some mild discomfort, which then resolves as the body rejuvenates. Everybody is different, but conserving as much of your energy as possible for the cleansing process will best serve you.
-
During the transition phase we will be cooking 3 fresh meals a day which requires dedicated time, but they are not too labour intensive. During the main cleanse, I would give yourself 1-2 hours each day to focus on cooking and self care.

Vigorous exercise can disrupt your body's healing. Walking in nature and gentle yoga are perfect for the cleansing period.
